Crestock is reviewing the model-related metadata attached to each image and release waiver in their database. In particular, they are removing model last names (family names) from public site areas.
Full model information will still reside in the release form which is stored in their system for each model, but model last names will not be visible in public areas.
For the vast majority of Crestock contributors this won’t be an issue, as most models are identified only by their first names, or by initials. But for contributors who have included last names in the “Public name” field when registering a new model, they will need to remove that information from public site areas.
Model last names should also not be included in image titles, descriptions or keywords. Full model names and contact information should still be provided in every model release waiver you attach.
Also, they have just added a new section to the website, covering a wide range of technical terms dealing with photography, graphics and digital imaging technology.
